Cascade Brewing 20-Year Celebration!
In December 1998, Art Larrance opened Cascade Brewing and the Raccoon Lodge and Brewpub in Southwest Portland. Twenty years later, the brewery is recognized worldwide for its highly-rated Northwest sour ales. The brewery will commemorate its 20-year milestone anniversary with a celebration that will include the exclusive 750ml bottle release of Cascade’s Bourbonic Plague, one of its fan favorite projects.
The Cascade Brewing 20-Year Celebration will take place on Friday, Dec. 7, from 5pm to 10pm at the Lodge at Cascade Brewing (formerly the Raccoon Lodge and Brewpub, which was rebranded in 2017), located at 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. The evening will feature raffles, games, cupcakes, brewery tours, a birthday toast, and select menu items from the brewery’s 1998 menu. Guests can enjoy 90s music on the stereo, and chat with Larrance and Cascade’s brewing team. The event is for ages 21+ in the downstairs Den; minors are welcome upstairs in the restaurant.
The highlight of the event will be the exclusive bottle and draft release of Cascade’s Bourbonic Plague 2016, a blend of sour imperial porters aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to two years with dates, cinnamon, vanilla and orange peel. The original Bourbonic Plague won Cascade its first gold medal at the 2009 Great American Beer Festival in the wood- and barrel-aged sour beer category. This marks the first time in seven years Cascade has bottled Bourbonic Plague, and each bottle will be individually numbered in this extremely limited project.
The Lodge at Cascade Brewing is the ideal place to hold a special event! Whether it’s an intimate gathering at our Back Bar or a large party in our outdoor Beer Garden, we will work to make it an affair to remember.
The Back Bar is a long, narrow semi-private room off the main bar in the upstairs dining room. This area can seat 18 to 20 for dinner. Because of its shape, it is better suited for sit-down affairs rather than mix and mingle gatherings. We recommend guests order off the regular menu or an abbreviated version. There is no rental fee but we do expect guests to eat and drink. The Den is also available during the week for lunch meetings from 11:30am to 3:30pm. Please call ahead to reserve.
Our beautiful outdoor Beer Garden features a covered concrete pad adjacent to a large grassy area surrounded by large trees. There are 30 picnic tables throughout. Because it is outdoors, this area is offered on “weather permitting” basis. This space does not have heaters. The Beer Garden can accommodate a buffet, appetizer platters, an abbreviated menu, or our regular menu. We require a guarantee of sales based on the size and nature of your event.
Our entire restaurant is non-smoking, and all areas are wheelchair accessible. Minors are allowed in both event areas. If you have any questions or are interested in booking an event, please call our restaurant manager, Lisa Crombie, at 503-296-0110, or email email@example.com.
